Well, hello! Welcome! So glad you’re here! Let me share a little bit about myself!

WHO I AM

I am Emily. Wife to Tall-Dark-and-Handsome (aka Matt), and Mother to a boisterous, funny little boy named Tyler, a sweet, laid-back little girl named Clara, and due in April with my third baby (Edit: since writing this post, I have had my sweet Amelia “Millie” Rosalynn. She’s a bundle of joy and full of personality and spunk!)

WHERE I AM FROM

My roots are in Wisconsin where I was born and raised, but we live in Central Pennsylvania where the rednecks outnumber the city-goers. I would classify myself in between the two…not quite a country girl, but not a city girl…somewhere, contentedly, in the middle. 

ABOUT ME

Some may say I am a “crunchy” Mama, and in some respects I would agree. I love all things natural, holistic, and nutritious… but I will occasionally throw caution to the wind, eat a bag of cheesy Doritos in one sitting (my weakness! I swear Clara is made completely from Doritos because I ate so many during my pregnancy with her!), let my kids watch hours of TV just so I can catch a break, and feed them boxed mac ‘n cheese three days in a row (We like cheese in this house!).

 I LOVE

A few of my passions include, but are not limited to, all things related to motherhood, home décor and design, fashion, DIY projects, and natural living. I also love baking and cooking. I spent twelve years working in various bakeries, and even though I stopped working, I still love to bake; it’s therapy for me.

Above all else, I love and serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is my Rock that I place my faith and trust. And it is only by his mercy and grace that I have life… a life that I choose to live to its fullest.

THIS SPACE

I created this space so I could share my journey to living a simple life… simplicity in marriage, motherhood, home décor, organization, fashion, etc. I believe living simply is not as hard as we make it out to be, and I am excited to share what I learn with you! So, thank you for following along!
